Senior Transmission Planning/Studies Engineer
POWER Engineers, Inc., one of the nation?s strongest energy-related engineering and environmental consultants, is currently seeking a Senior Transmission Planning/Studies Engineer for our SCADA and Analytical Services (SAS) team.
Roles and Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for interfacing/coordinating with other engineers in the preparation of computer-based models and performing complex power system studies on utility transmission/distribution systems and industrial/commercial electrical power systems, including: protective relay settings, stability (transient & dynamic), long/short range planning studies, short circuit, load flow, motor starting, power factor, and other related studies.
The level of this engineer requires an individual who has experience participating in the proposal writing process as well as enjoys customer contact to assist in bringing in new business to the company. This person must have a strong conceptualization ability and strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills - including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.
Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
+ PE registration (or equivalent)
+ Ten (10) + years of experience in electrical engineering system studies
+ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including proposal writing, report writing, and other technical writing
+ Experience with PSSE or PSLF software packages, preferably both
+ Willing to travel (25% or more at times)
+ Ability to work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment
Desired Education/Experience
+ MSEE is preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
