L.L.Bean is looking for a Store Manager for the Hunt/Fish Store in Freeport, Maine.
This important member of the team will be responsible for store operations and driving the store's business, with the critical responsibility for motivating and developing a team of employees, developing the used firearms business and managing all daily operational activities within the store.
In partnership with the Flagship General Manager, drive brand presentation, develop talent and ensure delivery of the legendary L.L.Bean customer experience for assigned outdoor lifestyle concept retail store. Promote the company's core values of Outdoor Heritage, Integrity, Service, Respect, Perseverance and Safe and Healthy Living to ensure the integrity of the brand, culture and mission of L.L.Bean is upheld at all times.
Store Sales Volume: $8-15 Million
Job Tasks:
Ensure compliance with Federal and L.L.Bean Firearms regulations and Standard Operating Procedures. Take immediate and appropriate action to rectify any non-compliance issues. Ensure compliance of front line employees with firearms program.
Deliver and inspire legendary world-class customer service.
Manage the Firearms/Archery pro shop and Hunting retail business.
Develop strategies to grow the used firearms business.
Partner with the Merchandising team to ensure best in class product selection.
Promote the Learn, Try, Buy and Enjoy experience.
Recommend hiring plans and strategies.
Address employee issues/conflicts and provide feedback, coaching and developmental opportunities.
Perform additional related duties as requested.
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions. Ensures compliance of front line employees with comprehensive Health and Safety program.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years retail Store Management experience in a $8M
hunting and fishing store, with a strong background in hunting and the used firearms industry. They will have the ability to translate comprehensive business plans into effective action plans that meet desired outcomes/timelines .
This proven leader can work easily in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and coach highly technical employees to achieve exceptional business results. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required as you will be scheduled to work a variety of shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays, in order to meet business needs.
