An internship at L.L.Bean is an introduction to our company that provides an opportunity for the right individual to contribute to moving the business forward and to gain exposure to key areas of the organization. Interns assume various project roles and responsibilities while working on current business opportunities that directly benefit L.L.Bean. Typical internship periods are 8 to 12 weeks in duration, beginning in the May-June time frame, and are to be guided by department leaders.

Summary of Job Tasks:
oParticipate in projects focused on current business needs.
oTake on miscellaneous responsibilities, which are intended to provide experience or exposure to the assigned departmental processes at L.L.Bean.
oCollaborate with team members, vendors, management, and cross-functionally with other departments depending on the scope of the project(s).
oMaintain communications with leaders of the internship.
oNetwork with other interns at L.L.Bean to gain a broader understanding of the company.
Health and Safety Requirement : Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in college or a university degree program

o Strong analytical, research, and demonstrated leadership skills
o Flexibility and willingness to work where needed during the internship experience
o Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively
o Interns are responsible for their own lodging within a commutable distance to Freeport and must have reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
