Position Purpose:
Act as a process owner for the creation of employee schedules ensuring quality results that meet employee and business needs through various business cycles. Demonstrate a bias for continuous improvement and a strong connection to stakeholder impacts.
Job Tasks:
Oversee the creation of schedules for fulfillment employees that support overarching business needs:
Responsible for developing protocol for scheduling activities, partner with WFP Supervisor for implementation
Ensure system generated staffing requirements are optimized and appropriate for the work
Configure system for various business cycles
Proficient and able to work as a scheduler
Ensure available labor is appropriate for future plans
Validate that headcount and skill is appropriate for future plans
Provide recommendations for identified scheduling gaps
Update and maintain employee data and restrictions
Responsible for seasonal employee ramp-up as it relates to scheduling
Demonstrate a connection to stakeholder impacts and initiate action as required
Assess reporting metrics throughout scheduling process to ensure quality control
Adjusting staffing guides to continuously align with Operational changes
Identify opportunities to more effectively leverage available scheduling software, applications, databases and workflow processes
Tests new scheduling enhancements:
Use current scheduling software systems to develop and test various scheduling initiatives and scenarios
Test software upgrades and provide feedback
Acts as content expert:
Create staffing approaches to be used for long-term staffing planning
Able to create scheduling approaches and staffing guides that support unique operational areas
Provide expertise on scheduling processes to all areas of Fulfillment
Participate in continuous learning opportunities offered by the department
Assume additional related duties as requested
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions.
Experience using scheduling software to meet complex business needs, GMT or Verint a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Communicator skills
Education Level: Level 3 - H.S. or Specialized Training
