As a security officer for L.L.Bean, you''ll be joining a team of professionals committed to supporting one of the most respected retailers in the country. To be a successful in our values-driven organization, you must possess strong customer service skills and quickly adapt to change. Previous security or emergency responder experience is preferred but not required.
The open positions are seasonal roles that will support business needs between July and December of this year.
Controls employees entering or leaving the facilities
Ensures that no package, merchandise, etc., is removed from the facilities without proper authorization
Obtains evidence of internal theft and completes necessary reports
Using reporting software, writes incident reports concerning unusual or inappropriate activity, accidents, theft, vandalism, etc.
Prepares daily logs, maintains files and insures that copies of all reports are forwarded to appropriate management personnel
Performs other security related duties as specified
WORK SCHEDULE
Work hours will vary based on business needs
Typical work hours range from 8 - 40 hours per week
Availability for rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift hours, seven days a week is required
Must have outstanding customer service skills and be able to support a dynamic business environment
Must maintain a calm and professional demeanor when responding to emergencies
Must have demonstrated team skills including negotiation, facilitation, communication, and group dynamics
Must possess basic computer skills
Must have valid driver''s license and meet L.L.Bean''s Risk Management driver requirements
Schedule availability must be flexible to allow for variable shifts
