L.L.Bean is looking for a technical Information Security Manager to lead our team of information security professionals in Freeport, Maine. This role requires a proven ability and strong drive to deliver great business results while managing risk. The Information Security Manager must be a trusted partner who can speak confidently on leading security practices, standards and solutions; the external and internal threat landscape; regulatory compliance; and incident handling.
The Information Security Manager must possess sharp analytical and critical thinking skills, deep security expertise, credibility working across IT domains, and solid business acumen. This highly visible position drives the information security strategy, has a positive presence in the business, and sponsors information security initiatives. The Information Security Manager is responsible for a portfolio of systems, services, and suppliers that includes technical controls infrastructure, engineering, operations, internal consulting, and leading solution providers.
Oversee the Information Security Team and daily operations. Develop staffing plans for operations and projects.
Manage the ongoing assessment of the threat landscape. Provide options and recommendations to address risks and threats in the industry and enterprise.
Sponsor and support audits and regulatory compliance efforts, including ongoing PCI compliance.
Develop and promote a business-aligned security strategy.
Stewardship of the security solutions portfolio and budget. Sponsor security projects. Manage supplier relationships.
Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure that there is a convergence of security with business, technical, financial, and operational requirements.
Ensure that security and controls are factored into the evaluation, selection, development, deployment, and operation of hardware, software, and off-premises solutions.
Partner with Procurement and Legal in contract negotiations.
Ensure timely responses to security incidents. Oversight of the security incident response team.
Oversee the maintenance and dissemination of a portfolio information security policies, standards, and procedures.
Bachelor''s degree required; Master''s degree in related field preferred.
At least 5 years of experience overseeing an information security team.
At least 5 years of experience in an information security analyst/engineer role.
Certification in information security such as CISM, CISSP, CISA or equivalent preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and proven leadership skills. Track record of developing talent.
Expertise in security technologies, infrastructure, and software development.
Clear and flexible communication style. Confident presentation skills. Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders on all levels.
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client service orientation.
Strong project management, estimating, and negotiation skills.
Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27000, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT).
