Marketing Analyst - Customer Strategies

L.L.Bean, Inc. has been a trusted source for quality apparel, reliable outdoor equipment and expert advice for more than 100 years. We are currently searching for a Marketing Analyst to join our Customer Strategies team, based at our corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine.
The successful candidate will be able to work individually and as part of a team to maintain high-quality customer data that supports marketing initiatives and best-in-class customer service, and must have an interest in evolving L.L.Bean customer data practices to account for an increasing number of digital touch points. Although the role will focus primarily on customer data, it will also gain valuable exposure to other marketing disciplines including, but not limited to, promotions analyses and marketing testing. This position is posted as a mid-level analyst, but we remain open to hiring a high potential entry level candidate with undergrad degree and some internship experience.
Develop and monitor systems and processes that ensure day-to-day customer data quality across channels, including linkages between on-line and off-line customer data. Identify issues and recommend corrective actions, process improvements, and systems enhancements as necessary.
Capture, report on and communicate key customer file statistics.
Coordinate with other L.L.Bean analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to actively manage customer preferences and ensure the accurate targeting of marketing contacts.
Participate in quality assurance efforts related to system and process changes that impact customer data. Develop test cases and validate results.
Build knowledge of customer data quality practices and business dependencies internal to L.L.Bean and across an evolving retail industry.
Maintain the catalog request program. Monitor inventory, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Provide support for other Customer Strategies team responsibilities including promotions execution and analyses, customer selections, testing, and ad hoc marketing analyses as needed.
3-5 years relevant experience with Marketing and/or Financial analysis required.
Experience with statistical packages such as SAS or SPSS, is preferred. A demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn how to use these packages is required.
Experience with business intelligence tools (SQL or related) preferred.
Experience in data quality and/or knowledge of L.L.Bean customer data preferred.
Education Level: BA/BS or equivalent; graduate degree preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
