And if it's outside, we're all in. L.L.Bean is currently searching for a an IS Manager III to join the Information Services team located in Freeport, Maine. Position Purpose:
In this important role this person will manage a major IS functional area made up of one to two teams. Plays a primary role in establishing the IT vision, strategic direction, priorities & goals for a business unit or a major IS functional area. Serves as the primary liaison between IS and business unit senior management. Serves as a focal point for project initiation, status reporting and problem resolution. Projects will have a significant and possibly strategic impact.
Responsibilities:
Manages the delivery of a set of applications, infrastructure components or services and is responsible for the full life-cycle management and performance of build and production:
Directs technical analysis, evaluates estimates for reasonability and effectively manages and directs complex projects of software and hardware systems based on the IT Reference Architecture. Extensive understanding of the L.L.Bean business processes (financial, forecasting & budget; marketing; merchandising; operations) that are necessary to support issues of enterprise integration. Ability to leverage teams & processes in the IS department to drive the work. Contributes to the development of cost center budgets. Manages to budget & re-projects as needed.Prepares, delivers and leads technical presentations that bring about effective decision-making.Represents IS on corporate projects and teams. Plans and sets goals at macro and micro levelsProvides input to policy-level direction regarding standards, budget constraints, etc.Schedules and monitors multiple technical projects and/or requests Establishes and operates technical domains with multiple complex products, applications, servicesEnsures decisions are aligned with and support organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.Measures project costs & resultsLeads and provides overall direction to technical and analytical teamsSets strategic direction for team.Effectively leads through change - vision, strategy, implementation and assessmentMay lead one or more supervisors or leadersExperienced negotiator for strategic hardware and software; maintains vendor relationships:
Stays updated on vendor releasesSchedules regular check ins, tracks mergers and acquisitionsInvolved in Product Roadmap discussion with the vendor.Develops personal relationships with key parties from the vendor. Manages vendor relationships for a set of vendors as defined by the Strategic Vendor Management model.Establishes, negotiates and tracks adherence to Service Level Agreements for vendor and in-house systems.Years of

5-7 years IT experience; 2 or more years managerial or supervisory experience leading a technical/analytical team or departmentBA/BS or equivalent required; IT focus preferableBroad understanding of enterprise architectureTechnical experience in one or more technology domains.One or more Leaders may report to this position.Has experience managing & re-projecting budgets and has proven results in cost containment efforts. Ability to build cross-functional collaborative relationships in order to support win-win outcomes; seeks formative input.Advance project management skills; proven success in significant cross-functional projectsStrong technical & verbal writing skills applicable to technical teams and Senior Leadership and/or Unit Leaders. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
