L.L.Bean is currently searching for a Department Manager of Operations at our Flagship Store in Freeport, Maine. This position is accountable for Back Of House operations at the Flagship Store. The following are key contributions:
Leading and directing processes including returns disposition, quality retention, transfers in and out, inventory controls and accuracy
Coordinating space allocation and logistics for receiving all deliveries and outgoing shipments for both internal and external business partners
Overseeing/Executing Direct to Store Deliveries, ensuring 100% accuracy
Recognizing opportunities and implementing production efficiency gains, following Standard Operation Procedures, and achieving Loss Prevention expectations and goals
Accountable for the production of 16 hours/7days week with approximately 12-20 direct reports
Proven competence with Critical Leadership Behaviors including high Tactical, Production, Control and Feedback
Delivers legendary world-class customer service
Addresses employee issues/conflicts and provide input, feedback and coaching
Recruits, hires and develops employees, recognizing achievements
Actively drives and promotes the Learn, Try, Buy and Enjoy experience
Leads and executes compliance with Loss Prevention policies and procedures
Manages all aspects of Back of House Operations
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions. Ensures compliance of front line employees with comprehensive Health and Safety program.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate employees
Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude
Established time management and organization skills
Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Associate's degree or equivalent with at least 3
years of retail experience in relevant traffic, and volume Retailer.
Strong business acumen with the ability to achieve sales and service goals
Capability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively to achieve goals
Education Level: Associate's Degree or equivalent
Experience Level: 3 to 5 years
