L.L.Bean is currently searching for an E-Commerce Business and Technology Manager to join our Information Services Department in Freeport, Maine. This important position is responsible for E-Commerce website operations from a business and technical perspective. You will be the primary point of contact for production e-commerce launches and production site issues. This team provides development support from assessment through implementation.
1. Manage assigned personnel:
Make/review employment decisions.
Establish performance objectives, assign work, monitor workload, and appraise performance.
Coach and develop employees in job related skills through work assignment, direct training, and regular feedback,
both positive and negative.
Administer wages and salaries.
Resolve personnel problems following company policies and procedures.
Assist employees in identifying personal development and career needs. Provide guidance and support on these
issues.
Communicate and monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and programs.
Review and update job descriptions, organization structure and staffing levels. Oversee the maintenance and
updating of related records.
Minimize risks of work related injuries and illnesses and associated costs, including lost work time.
Hire, manage and develop staff to optimize individual contributions to business unit goals.
2. Manage and lead the following disciplines within the e-commerce business and technology team:

3. Insure that the team is following and influencing standards established by other stakeholder groups such as the PMO organization within IS.
4. Assume responsibility for the customer experience and behavior on site as measured by metrics controlled by site experience such as conversion rate, overall abandonment rate, shopping bag abandonment rate, time spent on site, and search success rate.
5. Monitor customer feedback for trends and issues so that site design and content can be influenced. This would include reviewing Foresee results or any other customer feedback.
6. Influence and participate in the development of the e-commerce strategic direction.
7. Participate in the ongoing web site planning, development, and execution to meet the goals of the unit''s business plan and to support brand positioning.
8. Communicate planned site development changes to required parties such as e-commerce stakeholders.
9. Serve as a point of contact for site operational issues & inquiries with product groups, Corporate Marketing, Customer Satisfaction, and other corporate areas.
10. Prior to regression testing and before final go-live, is the primary resource for prioritizing defects and determining if the release can move forward.
11. Ensure seamless integration and alignment of new functionality development and the develop processes, tools, and capabilities for the ongoing management of new site functionality in the production environment.
12. Assume additional related responsibilities as requested.

Take immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance of front line employees with comprehensive health and safety program.

Education Level: Level 5 - BA/BS or equivalent; MBA preferred
Experience Level: Level 7 - 7
years
